Friday 3-1-13

I got up at 6 am instead of 4 am so I think I’m finally getting on the time schedule. I made a quick trip to the roof to see the pool and the view. Last post had a picture of the pool, here is one of Chennai.

I had a nice breakfast, it was very similar to what the Tan West End had on offer, though I think it had more selection of stuff, I couldn’t tell what it was. I caught my ride without incident. I must be getting the hang of that too.

I had a great breakfast, the offering was very similar to my previous hotel. They prob had a slightly larger selection of things I didn’t know here. :)

My hotel is quite a ways away from the office, but the trade off for the long drive is seeing more of the city. Chennai is larger than Bangalore, and the traffic is almost as bad. Hem was waiting for me when I got to the office. The office park in Chennai is also larger than in Bangalore.

I only really work closely with a few PMs in Chennai, but it turns out there are. Lot of people here I know or knew. One of the. Remembered me from when I first came on to the account! I really regret not having f a better memory. I had a great meeting with the PMs as a group and I’m now thinking we need an org chart of the RDC PMs in the US!

I also realized I had booked my flight to Delhi at 8:30 am not knowing about the traffic, so it looks like I’ll be getting up at 4 am again on Wednesday.

After I got back to the hotel, I thought I might go up to the roof for a swim, but I was too tired and decided on room service and sleep.

Oh, and I got an invitation from the hotel manager to join him on the roof for drinks Saturday night. Clearly the sales manager from Taj West End contacted him and let him know I am the the main point of contact for IBM for all of Taj hotels in India! :)
